The ISMM Young Investigator Award will be presented for the first time at the 2014 World Congress to promote and reward the accomplishments of young investigators in the field of high altitude and mountain emergency medicine. The award acknowledges novel contributions that make a significant step towards a better understanding of pathophysiological changes at high altitude and in emergency situations in mountain and remote areas or towards improvements of treatment strategies.
First authors who are under 40 years of age are eligible. Eligible authors wanting to be considered for the award should indicate in the given section of the online abstract submission. Winners will be selected based on the results of the abstract evaluations and will be invited to make an oral presentation during the congress.
